Milena Regos, founder Out&About Marketing
The founder of Out&About Marketing, Milena Regos is an entrepreneur, passionate digital marketer and avid social media marketer. She is an experienced and creative marketing, Internet and social media professional who builds award-winning marketing campaigns with proven return on investment and measurable results. Out&About Marketing’s focus is on travel&tourism, outdoor& recreation, health&fitness industries and legendary SMBs (small to medium businesses) and individuals who want to stand out and do something different.
How did she get here?
It all started back in 1989 when she started her own company, a Windsurf Rental and Lessons business on the Black Sea of Bulgaria. Her entrepreneurial spirit has lived since then.
She became in charge of Sales Promotions and Special Events at the biggest advertising agency in Bulgaria. Her clients included PepsiCo, Stella Artois, Marlboro, Johnnie Walker and Nestle just to name a few.
Upon completing her Master Degree in International Marketing from Alliant International University, San Diego she embraced the media world. What started as an internship with EXL Media ended in a 5 year career as a traditional/online media buyer. Some of her clients were Vail Resorts, Intuit, Lonely Planet and the Libertarian Party. She was one of the first people to purchase an online banner on Yahoo in 1996. In the midst of the dot com boom, Milena Regos organized and presented one of the first Internet seminars titled “The Internet Today – Reality, Challenges and Opportunities”.
Diamond Peak, Milena Regos, Social Media Award
In 2001, she assumed the position of Marketing Director for Incline Village General Improvement District and its recreation facilities: Diamond Peak Ski Resort, The Golf Courses at Incline Village, The Chateau and Aspen Grove meeting and wedding venues, The Recreation and Tennis Center and baseball fields and parks. At IVGID, she rebranded the ski resort, took market share from competitors and turned around the ski resort from being in the red to being in the black setting records along the way. During her tenure, Milena Regos has been awarded twice by the American Marketing Association for Diamond Peak Ski Resort Best Comprehensive Marketing Campaigns in 2006 and 2008. She’s been recognized with MarCom Gold Award in 2008 by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). Under her leadership, Diamond Peak Ski Resort received an ADDY in 2002 for Outdoor Creative and The Mountain Course was recognized multiple times as Number #1 in the Nation for Excellence in Customer Service. In 2011, Milena Regos was recognized with Hermes Platinum Social Media Award.
