
Milena Regos is the Marketing Director for Diamond Peak Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe and Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID). Milena is an entrepreneur, passionate marketer and avid social media practitioner. She is an experienced, innovative marketing and Internet professional and social media evangelist who builds award- winning marketing campaigns with proven return on investment and profit maximization. Milena is skilled in marketing communications planning/ execution, brand strategy development/ implementation, customer database development/ management and creative management. Milena Regos’s duties include developing and overseeing collateral production, reporting and analysis, email and social marketing, website and E-commerce, customer service and loyalty, event planning, sales, public relations and community enriching partnerships. Milena creates memorable marketing campaigns and loyal customers while providing superior customer service and contributing to the bottom line of the organization. Milena Regos’s expertise is in the travel, tourism, outdoor, recreation and related industries.
Incline Village General Improvement District owns and operates Diamond Peak Ski Resort, The Golf Courses at Incline Village, The Chateau at Incline Village, Aspen Grove, The Recreation Center, The Tennis Center and three private beaches for the residents of Incline Village/Crystal Bay.
Milena Regos has been awarded twice by the American Marketing Association for Diamond Peak Ski Resort Best Comprehensive Marketing Campaigns in 2006 and 2008. She’s been recognized with MarCom Gold Award in 2008 by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). Under her leadership, Diamond Peak Ski Resort received an ADDY in 2002 for Outdoor Creative and The Mountain Course was recognized multiple times as Number #1 in the Nation for Excellence in Customer Service.
Prior to joining IVGID in 2001, Milena Regos worked as a media buyer / planner at EXL Media where she negotiated and placed traditional and online media for various B2C and B2B clients. She was one of the first people to purchase an online banner on Yahoo in 1996. In the midst of the dot com boom, Milena Regos organized and presented one of the first Internet seminars in Reno, NV titled “The Internet Today – Reality, Challenges and Opportunities”.
Prior to EXL Media, Milena Regos attended Alliant International University in San Diego, CA where she earned a Master’s Degree in International Marketing. While going to school, Milena worked as the Advertising Manager for the school newspaper, a Teaching Assistant for the IT Department and a Marketing Intern at Xerox.
Prior to joining the graduate program, Milena Regos held the position of Special Events & Promotions Manager at the largest Bulgarian advertising agency KRES. In this role, Milena was in charge of special events and promotions from beginning to end for world famous brands including Marlboro, PepsiCo, Johnnie Walker, Kamenitza Beer (owned and operated by Stella Artois) and Nestle.
At the age of 18, Milena founded one of the first private companies in post-communism Bulgaria: “Milena” –a windsurfing school and rental shop at the Black Sea.
When not online, she can be found in the outdoors: telemarking, mountain biking, golfing, playing tennis, camping, hiking or traveling with her husband and dog.
