I want to close the loop on the Lufthansa travel nightmares blog post I wrote back in May during my trip to Europe for those of you who followed my trip and have been asking me for the result.
In summary, I had to deal with a delayed plane, a sick passenger, a well deserved and expensive shower, new clothes and a long delay at the airport, a lost bag for 7 days, a damaged suitcase and missing items...

Happy Birthday Out&About Marketing! It turned one year old today! Yipee!
A year ago I embarked on a new journey with Out&About Marketing. The results have been very, very positive. I accomplished many of the goals I set for myself and learned a few lessons along the way. Overall, I have no regrets and I’m proud of the accomplishments.
Thank you to all of my clients who keep me on my toes,...

I just had the worst experience ever on my trip from the USA to Europe. I can understand problems with volcanoes but this is getting crazy.
First, the plane was delayed from Philadelphia to Frankfurt.
Second, a passanger threw up on my in the plane. The most disgusting experience in my life.
Of course, I missed my connection flight to Sofia and had to sit in line for over 2 hours to rebook. With the...

I recently returned from a short trip to San Francisco and I’d like to recommend a few places to stay and eat while in the city that you won’t be disappointed with.
1. The best place to stay in San Francisco is the Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf. You can see all of their reviews on TripAdvisor which confirm my recommendation for a top...

Because I’m passionate about honest marketing and social media and believe that if done right it really works.
Because I’m tired of shitty marketing and bad customer service.
Because the social web is changing the world and businesses will adapt or die. Some businesses need to die. It’s OK.
Because people need great products and services and amazing companies want to sell their products...

Winter is definitely here and it looks like it will be a nice White Christmas for everyone in Lake Tahoe. Let’s see what Lake Tahoe ski resorts are reporting for snow accumulations on their websites:
On the North Shore:

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and get to spend it with your family and friends.
Take some time to reflect on all things we could be grateful for this past year. I’m thankful to have all of you in my life, my loving family and friends, my health, a roof over my head, and a big turkey to cook. Yummy!
This holiday, take some time off from being online, turn off...

I feel passionate about sharing my beliefs and values with you. This is who I am. I’m an honest and transparent individual. I can’t lie. I’ve never been able to. I don’t like liers and politicians. I don’t like bureaucracy and red tape. I prefer that people say what’s on their mind as opposed to thinking of what to say that will please you. I’m a free spirit....

Burning Man is an amazing phenomenon. It’s the kind of event that you have to witness to understand. It’s Disneyland for adults. A mix of Moulin Rouge and Mad Max. It’s incredible and inspiring. It’s crazy. It’s a wild dream. And in the chaos of it all, there is clarity. And there’s sense. Organization. Amazing logistics to make it all happen. In this post, I’ll...
