This is a series of tools specific to Twitter designed for the novice to intermediate user.

1. What is Twitter?

Twitter is a micro-blogging tool that enables you to engage and communicate in less than 140 characters. You can create an account on www.twitter.com. You can add your photo and a profile which is visible to anyone on the net. You can start following people and people can follow you. You can post updates on Twitter – anything from silly updates about what you are doing to promoting your business or valuable updates to your followers. You can share news, articles that you are reading, pictures, weather and traffic updates, product information, blog entries and whatever else you want.

Twitter Tips

Twitter is getting more and more publicity. People want to join in the conversation but they are not really sure where to start and what to do. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to go about it.

1. Go to www.twitter.com and create a username and a password. Keep the username short – you want to allow people to Retweet your tweets without changing them too much and it will give you more space to write your tweet. It’s really easy to set up a Twitter account. Change your avatar and add a short bio. That way you won’t look like a spammer.
